Pat Bennett - ceramic artist

Pat Bennett owns and operates the Marquis of Dufferin Seaside Inn on the Eastern Shore of Nova Scotia.  In her spare time, one of her passions is pottery.  A Saskatchewan transplant to Nova Scotia, Pat took hand-building pottery classes in Saskatoon.  In 2008, she took tile making classes at the Nova Scotia Designer Crafts Council (NSDCC).

Pat slab builds her pieces.  With the ocean at her doorstep, she takes inspiration from the forms of nature.  From May to October, she can find blooms and stems on her walks or in her garden and displays her creations on the restaurant tables.  She sells her ceramic flower holders and other creations in her gift shop.  Some of her work are also available at the ikebana shop.

Our lives are impressed upon us.  Like fossils, Pat’s pottery preserves nature in clay.
