Chigiri-e Greeting Cards

“Chigiri” comes from the verb that means “to tear”; “e” means “picture”....Chigiri-e translates as a picture made from torn pieces of paper.  Each piece of paper is carefully torn by hand to become the perfect shape that fits into the collage.  As opposed to using scissors or blades, the hand-torn edges of paper give a distinct softness and gentleness that would surely warm the heart.

(Note: Due to the effects of lighting, actual card colour may be slightly different from the photographs.)

Made in Nova Scotia, Canada.
